Pro-Bono Program

NAC has a program to provide free legal representation for people who can't afford it. If your case is important at the state or national level and you can't pay for a lawyer, they'll contact law firms to take your case for free. Omar, the founder, has successfully enlisted well-known law firms for pro bono work. If you're interested, NAC will evaluate your case, and if it qualifies, they'll try to get a reputable law firm to represent you for free, charging only for the case evaluation. They can't guarantee pro bono representation until after evaluating your case. Just fill out our contact form and label it as a Pro-Bono with your details.

NAC recognizes that not everyone can afford the fees associated with hiring highly experienced appellate counsel. In our commitment to assisting those unable to cover the costs of elite representation, we've established a pro bono program. If, after conducting our case evaluation, we find that your case involves one or more issues of national or state importance, and you cannot afford representation, we will reach out to law firms nationwide in an attempt to secure pro bono assistance.

Omar, the founder of NAC, has achieved significant success in enlisting various premier law firms, some with global and national recognition, to provide pro bono help. Omar has enlisted the Law Offices of David L. Moffitt & Associates, PLLC, and Attorney Vinson F. Carter, who has accepted cases on a pro bono basis thanks to Omar's efforts. The globally recognized law firm WilmerHale LLP took on Demetrius Edwards' and Bryant Royster's cases pro bono, all due to Omar's initiatives during his tenure as the Chief of Research & Appeals at the Law Offices of David L. Moffitt & Associates, PLLC.

In Omar's personal fight for freedom, he successfully recruited John J. Bursch of Bursch Law PLLC, Aaron M. Katz of Ropes & Gray LLP, Brian P. Lannon of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, Daniel Meron of Latham & Watkins LLP (along with Stephen N. Shashy, Nayha Arora, and Timilin K. Sanders), Harold Z. Gurewitz of Gurewitz & Raben PLC, Kevin L. Laidler of Laidler Law, and Mary Chartier of Chartier + Nyamfukudza PLC—all on a pro bono basis. To see if your case qualifies for representation by locally, globally, or nationally recognized law firms, hire NAC for a case evaluation.

Upon completing the case evaluation, NAC will summarize the issues we believe have national or state importance and share this information with law firms across the country. If one of these firms agrees to take on your case pro bono, NAC will not charge anything beyond the case evaluation fee. Whether your case qualifies for pro bono representation can only be determined after NAC conducts its case evaluation.
