Typing Services
We provide a typing service for those who can't afford legal representation. We convert handwritten or typewritten documents into a computerized format that meets court rules. Presentation is crucial to convince the reader (judge or staff) of the document's importance. Since it's rare to have computerized documents in prison, we offer typing services for legible handwritten/typewritten documents. Prices: $250 for up to 50 pages, $25 for every additional 10 pages.
If hired, we transcribe without altering content. Contact us by writing, calling, or through a friend/family. Provide the page count, and we'll quote a price. Payment and documents received, completion in seven business days. Expedited options: $50 for five days, $75 for three days, $100 for 48 hours. Once converted, we send the document back the same day. For deadlines, ensure we receive documents 21 days before. If time is too short, we can serve the document to the court on your behalf with written authorization.
For individuals unable to afford NAC's advocacy or representation, we provide a typing service to professionally convert handwritten or typewritten documents into a computerized format that complies with court rules.
Effective presentation is crucial in persuading the reader (whether the judge or their staff) that your documents and arguments deserve their time and attention. As it's uncommon to have documents prepared in a computerized format while incarcerated, NAC offers typing services to transform legible handwritten and/or typewritten documents into professionally computerized typed ones.
Our computerized typing service is priced at $250.00, covering up to 50 pages of your documents. An additional $25.00 fee covers every 10 extra pages. For example, if you send 65 pages, the typing service fee would be $300.00.
When hired to type documents, we transcribe exactly what you have handwritten or typewritten without altering any content. Our task is to faithfully transcribe your documents.
To request our service, contact us in writing, by phone, or through a family or friend. When reaching out, specify the exact number of pages you want us to convert.
Upon learning the total page count (front and back count as 2 pages), we will provide the service price. After payment and receiving your documents, our work will be completed within seven business days.
For expedited service, additional fees apply:
- $50.00 for completion in five business days
- $75.00 for completion in three business days
- $100.00 for completion in 48 hours
Once successfully converted, we promptly forward the document back to you the same day.
If you have a deadline, ensure your document(s) are in our possession at least 21 days before it expires to guarantee completion. Once finished, we return the document to you within two business days.
For extremely time-sensitive matters, if there's insufficient time for you to meet your deadline, we can serve the document on your behalf to the designated court. If you choose this option, provide written verification authorizing us to sign and file the document on your behalf.
